Beautiful people, we were contacted by Jenny Gustafsson from Gothenburg, who’s creating her own special burlesque magic Sweden-side. Please meet Swedish Siren!

Jenny Gustafsson

“I am a dedicated international burlesque performer who focuses on neo-burlesque,” Jenny Gustafsson told Burlexe.

“I take my inspiration from theatrical cabaret, circus, performance art and grrrl power! I love to mix tease, glamour and lust with a lot of comedy and obscenity. My acts are all small stories with a twist, and of course, a lot of curves, corsetry and a sparkling kickass attitude.

“A big part of my stage persona is also the fact that I’m a bigger girl. I have several extra kilos, my boobs are big but they are real – meaning they haven’t escaped gravity’s forces… and my belly is round, my butt is large and I do have cellulite.

“In other words, I am a real woman and for me, burlesque is a chance to make a statement against the plastic stereotypes women have to deal with today. To not be a nice quiet girl just accepting the rules made up by others.

“I’m often described like this: Swedish Siren is known to have curves that could kill and an attitude that says fuck off to all the stereotypes and plastic female ideals. Her stage expression is based on playing with and challenging the norms and taboos of today’s society.”
