We’re pleased to announce that the next run of shows will star Jo King burlesque legend aka Goodtime Mama Jojo. She’s the one and only British burlesque legend.

Jo King burlesque legend aka. the one and only Goodtime Mama Jojo will be joining our burlesque show. Our next London cabaret event sees her playing the role of hostess with the mostest.

As anyone who attended the first burlesque show last November will testify, this combination is not to be missed. We already feature a burlesque monologue based on her amazing career and it is a cornerstone of the production.

Jojo runs the London Academy of Burlesque and has more than 30 years of experience in the industry. Her burlesque dancing classes have seen her teach the art form to over 10,000 women.

Her influence can be felt across the genre with many top names having learnt their craft from the woman herself. Needless to say, there’s plenty of tricks and bawdy tales we can learn from this lovely lady.

Goodtime Mama Jojo told Burlexe, “Having seen the first production, I’m thrilled to be involved.” She added, “I love that it has many of the dramatic elements that make burlesque so fascinating. Burlexe will take its audiences on a unique journey of celebration!”

Goodtime Mama Jojo is also working behind-the-scenes on the production including coaching pop star Javine Hylton on her burlesque performances. This includes singing, dancing and acting with Mama’s shimmy and shake to boot.
