Friend of Burlexe and our first guest performer of 2013, Miss Kiki Kaboom talks about the new show taking Sweden by storm, The Crack.
Kiki Kaboom in The Crack
What is The Crack? A long-running variety comedy show curated and hosted by Miss Behave (pictured).
Is there a comedy gag we can make about ‘crack’ in this instance? Definitely the bum kind. Bum is always funny.
How did you get involved? I’ve known Miss Behave (La Clique, La Soiree) for a while and she has always been really supportive of my work and cast me for the Swedish tour.
Who’s on the team? Miss Behave, Paul Morrocco, Kalki Hula Girl, Jon Hicks, Mr Jones, and Mirko.
What have you learnt about Scandinavia in your travels? The Swedish people are great clappers. They love to give standing ovations at the curtain call and clap along to the music throughout the show. Clappety clap clap. And they are very generous hosts.
Have they given you any crack? No, actually. How rude of them!
Have you had the craic? With this company, it would be impossible not to.
