Burlesque dancer, Aurora Galore shared her reasons why Lady Gaga is an alternative burly icon. We’ve also seen Lady Gaga strip off in photoshoots and videos before.
She comes from a stripper background and we’ve shared her in her birthday suit… Well writhing on a birthday cake. Same diff. But we think she has finally outdone herself with this latest lovable eccentricity. And we’ve seen a knitted doll of her.
Lady Gaga attended the Marina Abramovic Institute for a three-day retreat in upstate New York. The institute claims to create, “A series of exercises designed to heighten participants’ awareness of their physical and mental experience in the present moment.”
She is seen in the video covered in crystals, naked in nature and blindfolded. Whether she’s collecting firewood in wellies or experiencing sensory deprivation, it’s at the very least interesting.
The Marina Abramovic Institute also says it, “Prepares participants to both perform and observe long durational work.” With the singer’s album out in November a world tour is sure to follow and it seems this is one way she’s preparing. You can support them via their Kickstarter.
