Here at Burlexe, we’re used to being surrounded by glamour, glitter and gorgeous ladies for our London burlesque show. Being surrounded by the cast on an otherwise grey Monday however, well that’s spoiling us!
London Burlesque Show Dress Rehearsals
It’s rehearsal time at The Shadow Lounge in Soho with just two days to go until our sold out show. Creative director Howard Wilmot has just battled a suitcase of underwear across London, show director Jayne Hardy is regaling tales from last week’s London Cabaret Awards and performer Bettsie Bon Bon is preparing her pasties, about to run through her new act – The Showgirl.
As the cast arrive, it’s infectious excitement. There’s new burlesque monologues, performances and an awful lot of hard work to make up the February show and it’s looking great!
Jayne runs the show from start to finish, breaking for notes and costume changes. First up is the introduction led by the singing ring mistress herself – Kele Le Roc.
Spirits are high, the start of the week is hugely promising and those of you lucky enough to see the show on Wednesday are in for a treat!
