Meet the Burlexe show’s director, Jayne Hardy, who some of you may know from the burlesque scene. Take a peek behind the scenes of our burlesque evening London.
How did you get involved in Burlexe? I worked for Whoopee productions for 2 years as agent to many performers and as curator or stage manager of many events involving burlesque. I had heard of the show and was intrigued…
And why?? I was recommended by Lara Clifton and Jo King as someone with the right experience and tools to bring more cohesion to the show.
What do you bring to the burlesque show? I bring my experience in burlesque as a sisterhood, a nurturing and positive environment thanks to working in musical and devised theatre. And also I hopefully bring a lot of fun.
What makes the Burlexe show different? Burlexe is stories, music and performance tied together into an experience. It’s everything I love about showbusiness rolled into one.
Tell us why we should go to one of the shows. Gorgeous girls, incredible stories, great music = amazing time!!
