Copenhagen Grotesque Burlesque
It wouldn’t be a burlesque Halloween without a little grotesque burlesque dancing. This genre of burlesque is becoming increasingly popular with its playful indulgence in darker fantasies.
Copenhagen Grotesque Burlesque is an extravagant fancy dress party and takes place in August. It’s known as a party by artists for artists.
Guests are not only treated to burlesque performances but invited to become part of the spectacle. They have also held the Copenhagen Grotesque Burlesque Vinterfest which takes place in February.
Until then, enjoy the amazing costumes, theatrics and burlesque dancing of Copenhagen Grotesque Burlesque:
Catherine D’Lish Burlesque Dancing
Award-winning burlesque dancer, Catherine D’Lish, paid homage to legend, Zorita. Miss Exotic World 1992 and 1994 is known for her decadent costuming and all-out burlesque performances and this burlesque act is no different.
Burlesque dancing on a spider web has seen a revival in recent years. Burlesque dancers such as Dirty Martini have also given their renditions. Originally performed by Zorita, it is known as the most enchantingly devilish classic burlesque routine.
When Catherine D’Lish performs it, she shows her flexibility and amazing burlesque dancing skills. This act proves why she’s still one of the most coveted burlesque dancers around. See her burlesque dancing at Viva Las Vegas:
