When I was younger I had these enormous vanities about what I expected from myself. I’m glad to have a comfortable and fascinating life, but now I see it for what it is, so I can be braver and more spontaneous and say to myself, “Oh, screw it, just go out there and do it.”
Diane Keaton is a multi-talented woman. She has built her career, not only as an actress but a director, producer and screenwriter. Though, Diane Keaton is a darn good actress. Iconic, even.
Her first on-screen role was in the first part of The Godfather Trilogy. Though, she will always be remembered for co-starring alongside the famed director, Woody Allen. And not just for the fashion. Diane Keaton won the Best Actress, Academy Award for her role in Annie Hall.
She has bravely gone onto establish herself as a brilliant and versatile actress. Diane Keaton began on stage and was highly successful through her comedy years. Yet, she then went onto diversify her career to avoid being typecast as Annie Hall. And what a good job she has done too.
Diane Keaton is 66 today so happy birthday and we look forward to the next twist in her career.
