We caught up with Betty D’Light to get a little more goss. She said, “We’ll be celebrating with a very large bottle of champagne and a very long nap!
“We’re hoping to take most of June off to relax and concentrate on personal projects before work gears up another notch in July to prepare for our next big event in the summer. We’re taking The Sexy Circus Sideshow for our first run at the Edinburgh Fringe for the entire month of August!
“I’m really excited about this event as it will be a completely different experience to World Burlesque Games. The burlesque content of the new show will be extremely limited.
“We will be working with an electrifying host of Sideshow and Circus performers from all over the world! It will be nice to take a break from burlesque for a bit and see a different side of the cabaret and variety scene.
“I’m also super excited as it will mean I get to live in my homeland for an entire month! I haven’t lived in Scotland for about six years so it will be lovely to spend some quality time there.
“We’re also planning a small preview UK tour of the show in July and are hoping to take the show to London too before the end of the year. Plans are also in the works for a show marking the 10 year anniversary of Chaz Royal as a burlesque producer in November, in which we hope to include some amazing headlining artists from around the world. It’s shaping up to be a busy year!”
