Here’s the latest eye makeup trends 2014 as this year is all about statement peepers. We give our eye makeup tips and tricks so you can bat those eyelashes in style.

The Latest Eye Makeup Trends 2014

To get started master our eye makeup tips for beginners and our step by step guide to applying eyeshadow. You can then sculpt eyebrows, nail eyeliner and get those perfect spider eyelashes whilst blending and shading eye makeup like a pro.

There’s also a whole host of new eye makeup trends that can be added to your arsenal to update your look and stand out from the crowd. Here are favourites which you can combine to make show stopping looks.

Metallic Eye Makeup

Metallic shades are the perfect way to update you smokey eyshadow routine. If you usually opt for darker shades why not try a bright silver (above). Likewise, gold eyeshadow can be switched up with copper for some warmer tones.

As always, a darker shade can then be used in the crease and the outside corner of the eyelid. Whilst contouring and highlighting makeup can be used on the inner eye and brow line.

Then it’s all about blending but we recommend applying concealer and foundation after your eye makeup to tidy any smudge marks. You can also finish with eyeliner, see more on this next.

Back to Black

Statement graphic eyeliner and what Beauty High call the ‘Black Out Look’ have been doing the rounds on runways in 2014. Both Lanvin and Giorgio Armani Prive have championed these eye makeup trends and now you can too.

Top eyeliner has always been one of the chicest eye makeup looks and it has gone bold. The trick it to start with the best tools and knowing how to use them.

You can then experiment to find the look for you. This could be an exaggerated cat eye, two-tone eyeliner or the eyeliner blurring upwards.

The above look can simply mean using an ole fashioned business card to achieve that straight line. Whilst the other two can be combined to get a bang on trend look by using both metallic and some eyeliner blurring.

All you need is a black eyeliner pencil plus an eyeshadow pencil. First apply an exaggerated eyeshadow line across your eyelid then a line on your lower lash line. Complete with your black eyeliner in your upper and lower water lines. Voila.

Colour isn’t just for summer any more. By adding a pop of colour to your eye makeup looks, you can bring out your inner rebel and draw attention to your beautiful peepers.

Blue and turquoise have been sported on several catwalks in 2014 and there’s lots of ways to wear them. Here are four faves for a fresh and fun new look. Lets see the year off in style!
