Burlesque Cocktails

Our list of burlesque cocktails made by burlesque performers and inspired by burlesque dancers. These easy cocktail recipes are perfect for a burlesque show, burlesque party and girls’ night in.

Burlesque Cocktails

Burlesque and cocktails go glass in gloved hand ever since the days of prohibition when the sour taste of contraband alcohol was disguised in a mix at speakeasies. The tradition continues with vintage glamour imbuing stripteasers and the tipple.

These burlesque cocktails are the perfect way to sprinkle a pinch of burlesque in to your life. Shake and shimmy up a storm with these easy cocktail recipes.

Dita Von Teese Cointreau

Burlesque legend Dirty Martini has a name that offers a naughty twist to a classic drink. Especially fitting after being voted No. 1 in the 21st Century Burlesque’s Top 50 for the fourth year in a row.

To make your own Dirty Martini mix 2 oz gin, 1 tablespoon of dry vermouth, 2 tablespoons and 2 olives then pour over an ice cube in a chilled glass, rough and ready. Voila!

A Pink Flirtini Cocktail Recipe

Another way to add some glamour to your evening is a cheeky Flirtini, perfect for any cocktail hour. This gorgeous drink was made popular by the fabulous foursome in Sex And The City and off-the-wall cult comedy heroes The Mighty Boosh. To give it a more Burlexe and burlesque twist, we advise trying the sweet elixir of a Pink Flirtini.

To make your own, you’ll need to mix 1 oz raspberry vodka, 1/2 oz of Cointreau liqueur, 1/2 oz pineapple juice, a dash of limejuice, champagne, a raspberry and a pineapple chunk.

Begin with the raspberry in the glass then mix and strain all the ingredients (apart from the champagne) and half fill your Martini glass. Then top with champagne and garnish with pineapple.

Alternatively, you can make a pitcher half raspberry vodka, a quarter Cointreau, a quarter pineapple juice and add a few dashes of lime juice. Then let the party people add it to their glass with the champagne and fruit. Just like a Buck’s Fizz for fabulous people.

Finally, for all the girls’ nights in out there, My Pink Lady is a sweet treat that will brighten up any evening.

Fill 3/4 a tulip glass with lemonade and add a dash of grenadine. Then shake 0.5 oz of Vodka Absolut Kurant, 0.25 oz Malibu and 0.25 Midori together and strain onto the lemonade. Traditionally garnish with a pink carnation or simply add a lime wedge and enjoy!
