Burlesque Halloween Cocktail Recipes to Die For

Halloween Cocktail Recipes

Burlesque dancers and cocktails go glass in gloved hand. Here’s our list of burlesque Halloween cocktails: alcoholic and virgin, simple and OTT and all perfect for a grotesque burlesque show.

Burlesque Halloween Cocktail Recipes

Whether you’re going all-out in Halloween makeup or rocking a burlesque costume, a cocktail will complete the night. You don’t have to drink alcohol to have a spooky and nommy treat but we have some of those too.

An easy way to dress-up any drink is with Halloween decorations like goblets, fun cups and cup decorations. Disposable may be bad for the environment but we won’t tell anyone. Ahem. And obviously dry ice goes a long way.

Why stop there? It’s also easy to DIY some Halloween decorations. You can begin by hollowing a pumpkin. You can then fill it with ice and add bottles of beer for those not in the cocktail spirit. Simple! You can then make something yummy with the pumpkin later.

Non-alcoholic alternative: Add soft drinks to the pumpkin. You can also buy Tru Blood like from the hit HBO vampire show. It’s a fizzy orange drink and the stylish bottles are a great keepsake.

Alcoholic Halloween Cocktail Recipes

Red drinks are the obvious go-to choice for a Halloween party or grotesque burlesque evening. Red wine (mulled) or a punch bowl of sangria (with added black liquorice creeping over the edge) are quick and easy choices.

Non-alcoholic alternative: You can also make non-alcoholic sangria. Replace fruit slices in the bowl with lychee and liquorice for eyeball and spider decorations.

Bloody Mary Drink

The ultimate red drink for Halloween, however, is a Bloody Mary drink. It’s easy to make, iconic and good the morning after. Cough. For a Bloody Mary cocktail you will need:

  • A double shot of vodka;
  • Half a lemon, only for the juice;
  • Six dashes of Worcestershire sauce;
  • Three dashes Tabasco sauce;
  • Tomato juice 150ml/5fl oz;
  • A pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Put two ice cubes in a glass and pour in the vodka. Then add the lemon juice, sauces and tomato juice before stirring. Taste test to your liking and season. Voila!

Non-alcoholic alternative: It’s equally simple, just leave out the vodka.

Non-alcoholic alternative: For a green fizzy drink, you can now pick up some Mountain Dew for a tangy energy boost. Though, you can re-live your youth and go hyper on some Tizer. It will colour you red but you won’t care, it’s Halloween after all.
