Chloe Ewart Burlesque

She shone during our auditions and has subsequently been unforgettable in our productions, lending her considerable acting skills and talent for accents to a variety of parts from Venezualan pole dancer to Polish refugee. And this also involved into her first foray into burlesque itself. You can get a taste of her abilities in the Burlexe films.

But this is her Burlexe story…

What’s your Burlexe story: I’ve been with Burlexe from the very beginning, and it’s been a joy ride full of sequins, feathers, pasties and flesh! I’ve learnt so much along the way about burlesque: the women, the stories, the sisterhood, the creativity, the passion… and most importantly I’ve learnt a great deal about myself. I’ve been lucky enough to work alongside the crème de la crème of burlesque and I’m more confident, more powerful and sexier as a result!

Burlesque highlight? Every show is a highlight! From being beautified in the afternoon by the wonderful likes of Hayley McGreal and co, to backstage antics and finally being on stage, feeling at my most glamorous and powerful, telling the stories of the great women of burlesque. Also, in the current set of shows, I have finally performed my very own burlesque act under the alter ego, Lady Mei, which has been an incredibly liberating and empowering experience. Everyone should try getting their boobs out at least once!
