Check out our fabulous cast photo from our first burlesque night London for the Burlexe show. We’re the ‘Vagina Monologues’ of burlesque. See what’s what.

Burlesque Night London

Monday 22nd November 2010 saw our very first burlesque night London, the Burlexe show. It was held in Covent Garden’s INC Space. Take a look at our burlesque dancers and actresses, with our shexy cast snap.

Burlexe is a theatrical burlesque show that mixes performance, storytelling, burlesque and song. It’s the herstory of showgirls.

We celebrate the women who created the art form and continue it today by telling their stories. These burlesque monologues are then interspersed with the crème de la crème of British burlesque.

Our first burlesque night London saw the hilarious, Kiki Kaboom doing her thing. Whilst our cast of burlesque actresses got to the heart of the genre.

It was attended by friends, interested parties, some nice folks from the world of social media and of course, the burlesqueratti. This included the godmother of burlesque in the UK, the wonderful Goodtime Mama Jojo.

A big thank you to everyone who attended, it’s very much appreciated. We know we had fun. Wink.

Over the next couple of days, we’ll be uploading images to Facebook of the dress rehearsals and the night itself – please feel free to tag yourself and share with your friends.

In the meantime, here’s the initial cast…
