Goodtime Mama Jojo, aka Jo King is the undisputed British Burlesque Legend and her work for other performers and women from all walks of life is about helping them drop their insecurities and access their true selves.

In 2025, we’re bringing you brand new incarnations of Burlexe and first up is a one-off self-love workshop in London on 29th March, 2025 in association with two of the UK’s best experts; influencer Lu in Luland and British Burlesque Legend Goodtime Mama Jojo.

This unique self-love workshop is aimed at women looking for more meaningful connections with themselves or like-minded others. It’s designed to help you connect and reconnect – with the help of two women who have been there, done that and are living to tell and share the tale.
This ultimate Self-Lovefest is brought to you by us, Burlexe and is designed to make your spring, sexy, sizzling and set you up for an empowered 2025!
It will provide you with all the feelgood vibes, advice and tools together with two of the UK’s very best experts and educators who’ll walk you through the art of self-love from two different perspectives.
Join us on 29th March 2025 for the following: 2.30pm: Refreshments and getting to know each other 3pm: Lu talks about her inspirational journey through self-love 3.30pm: Mama Jo reveals how to build confidence and sexiness through performance 4pm: A 30-minute burlesque-inspired class with Mama Jo to put things into practice (don’t worry, there’s no nudity unless you really want to, of course) 4.30pm: Close with a self-love meditation and a little breath work to inhale all the good and to exhale all the bad. Let that shit go! 4.45pm – 5.30pm: Cocktails and the opportunity to get to know Lu, Jo and Burlexe even better.
Each session comes with some props for you with which to enjoy your class
Tickets for this unique self-love workshop cost £92.80 (including booking fee) and include two cocktails per person, gloves and refreshments.
The class is a low-key, low-intensity movement session which can be done in daywear or if you’d prefer to change into something more comfortable or dance-orientated, there are changing areas at Danceworks.

About Goodtime Mama Jojo: Jo is a British Burlesque Legend who has been teaching burlesque and striptease for more than 30 years. The first person to open a school dedicated to the art forms, her clients include the Uk’s burlesque superstar Immodesty Blaize and girl group, the Saturdays.
