To get you in the mood we wanted to share these sketches of the handmade burlesque costumes. They will be created in well… you can guess which colours! Or you’ll even be able to suggest your own.
Burlexe and Holloway Smith Noir
Sophie Holloway-Smith says, “The Burlexe striptease underwear range is inspired by the 30s, which is a look that works for everyone.
“We’ve just modernised it in terms of lengths. Our burlesque clothing collaboration is cut on the bias so it’s flattering for everyone and bamboo silk is a material that wants to get all over you, so it’s very saucy.
“And it’s comfortable, you’re not bunched up like with corsetry. The range will give you a flattering lift or skim your curves.”
If you’re not aware of their work, Holloway Smith Noir is a collaboration between sisters Alice and Sophie.
Together they create luxury bespoke lingerie and burlesque costumes. Alongside, their unique range of teasewear accessories inspired by Weimar cabaret, Parisian junk shops and sapphic literature.
Established in 2010 Holloway Smith Noir are stocked in luxury lingerie boutiques across the globe. They also design for top luxury lingerie brand including Coco de Mer.
