Name: Sabrina Sweepstakes.
Describe yourself in five words? Alternative, artistic, creative, sexy and fresh.
How did you get into burlesque? I was a ballet dancer and a contortionist. I worked for the Ballet Company in Canada and got injured and was trying to explore other avenues of performance.
Burlesque hero/ine? I wouldn’t say one person. I’d say I’ve got a hell of a lot of inspiration from The Crazy Horse, probably my number one burlesque troupe.

Favourite routine? I have a routine called Clayface. It is just basically where I paint all over my body and put clay on my face and sculpt different faces into the clay.
What’s have been your most triumphant moment to date? When anyone says my shows have really inspired them.
What does burlesque mean to you? It’s an excuse to do something completely out of the ordinary: to not have any guidelines and be able to go with what you want to do.
Motto in life? Keep creating, never do anything the same way.
